Dumas’ first solo show in South Africa after moving to The Netherlands 30 years ago provided occasion for this catalogue. Featured are more than 50 paintings, drawings and prints presented at the exhibition, as well as personal letters, documents and photographs collected by the artist.
A selection of the artist’s own writings is included, ranging from her unique commentaries on art to aphoristic writings and poetry that are once insightful, witty and thought-provoking.

本カタログは、30年ほど前に南アフリカで開催され、その後オランダへと巡回したDumasの初個展に基づき出版された。この際に出展した50点以上のペインティング、ドローイング、プリントのほか、個人的な手紙や書類、本人がコレクションした写真を収録。
またDumas本人が執筆した、アートに対する独自の評論から格言、また洞察力があり機知や示唆に富んだ詩などを厳選して収録している。
