『Best Dutch Book Design 2010』

政治的にも大きく関わったグラフィックアーティスト／デザイナー、Gerd Arntz (1900-1988)。
1920年代、社会的過ちやナチズムの台頭を版画を通してごくシンプルに、誰にでも分かり易く伝えた。ウィーンの社会学者Otto Neurath (1882-1945) はArntzのこの手法を買い『International System Of TYpographic Picture Education』いわゆるISOTYPE制作を依頼する。以降、Arntzの長いキャリアの中で、4000以上のシンボルやフィギュアを制作した。
本書は数多く制作されたISOTYPEを収録し、システムやコンテキストを解説する。
