The fifth in Kunstverein München’s ‘Companion’ series, this publication was compiled as an extension of the three ’film dinners’ Otarkino is presenting in the Kunstverein on 13, 14, and 15 May 2016. Otarkino was founded in 2012, when film curator Vincent Stroep joined food collective Otark Productions (Hadas Cna’ani and Charlotte Koopman), and paired food and film in immersive events that are as auditory, gustatory, olfactory, and tactile as they are visual. The 21 menus and 32 corresponding films Otarkino has presented have been chronologically indexed through 64 full-color pages of receipts, notes, grocery lists, diagrams, serving timelines, and photographic documentation.
